At CVS Motors, we provide MOT testing and car servicing for all makes and models of vehicles. We provide affordable services in Farnham and surrounding areas for customers looking to get quality car repairs and servicing.
As most people are aware, regular servicing is vital to maintaining your vehicle’s reliability and efficiency. Not only that, but regular servicing will also help your vehicle maintain optimum value. Not only will adhering to your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended service schedule save you money in the short term, by maintaining efficiency and fuel economy, it will also help should you choose to sell your vehicle in the future.
The checks undertaken during our full and major service options will also highlight any potential problem area’s that may require immediate attention or monitoring. This can potentially save you having to fork out for more expensive repairs in the future, along with minimising the risk of breakdowns or major mechanical failure whilst on the road.

CVS Motors offers three levels of servicing options. These are all based on an incredibly competitive fixed price structure, so you know exactly what you’re paying for, from the outset.
Interim service (oil and filter change)
AT CVS Motors, our interim service consists of removing the old oil and oil filter from your engine, before replacing the filter and refilling the engine with fresh, high- quality oil, which will be perfectly matched to your engine in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Most manufacturers will suggest such a service be undertaken around every 6,000 miles.
Regular changes of engine oil are one of the most vital aspects of keeping a vehicle running smoothly. The oil in your engine is designed to not only lubricate all the internal moving parts, but also catch any dirt that might end up in the engine. If oil is not changed on a regular basis, eventually it loses some of its’ lubricating ability as the dirt builds up which, if not repairs could cause major damage to your engine.
Full service
A full service at CVS Motors includes an oil and filter change, as described above. It also includes a full vehicle health check, covering all the major components of your vehicle. We’ll check the electrics, the steering, suspension and exhaust. We’ll check your brakes and fluid levels, along with checking the engine itself for any telltale signs of water or oil leaks. A full service is recommended annually, or around every 10-12,000 miles.
Major Service
A major service covers all the items covered in a full service, but also includes changing of pollen filters, fuel filters (for diesel engines) or spark plugs (for petrol engines), along with even more detailed and extensive checks of your electrics, engine, brakes and running gear. It also includes checking and adjusting of all drive belts if required. This level of servicing should ordinarily be conducted every two years or every 24,000 miles.
MOT Tests
Nearly all vehicles legally allowed on UK roads require an MOT certificate once they exceed 3 years of age. This is to ensure that the vehicle is safe, road legal and below certain emission thresholds.
MOTs can be booked using our online booking service; we would recommend that a service is booked alongside an MOT test. This allows our technicians to identify potential problem areas that could make the difference between your vehicle passing or failing its’ test.
